Colette Chang

Colette Chang is an independent filmmaker based in Vancouver, British Columbia, who works primarily within horror and experimental genres. They began studying Film at Simon Fraser University’s School for the Contemporary Arts in 2024, and they are currently working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts.
Through their initial exploration into film as a medium of expression with "THE LOOP" (2024), they were drawn to scriptwriting and camerawork. These interests have become the primary focus of their studies and individual projects.
Within the School for the Contemporary Arts, Colette's interest and experience in camera department roles has grown significantly through collaborative projects. They've also explored directorial and screenwriting roles with "Living Space" (2026) and "I AM A MANGLED BEING" (2025).
Outside of their academics, they continue to explore new ways to convey the abnormal, the weird, and the unsettling.
